Scope. These terms apply to the use of the Synergy Showdown tournament website, signup sheet, calculator, encrypted submission tools, and related organizer services. By submitting a team signup, roster, or tournament-related file, the submitting person confirms that they are authorized to act on behalf of the team and that the team accepts these terms.

Accuracy of submissions. Teams must ensure that all submitted information is accurate, complete, and up to date at the time of submission. This may include team name, tricode, team logo, Riot IDs, player Discord contact names, selected ranks, average rank data, submission time, and tournament-specific notes.

Roster responsibility. Teams are responsible for submitting the correct roster before the organizer deadline. The organizer may accept the latest valid submission and may reject duplicate, incomplete, abusive, suspicious, late, technically invalid, or rule-breaking submissions.

Prohibited information. Players and teams must not submit passwords, legal names, home addresses, precise location data, payment information, private account credentials, identity documents, or other sensitive personal information in any tournament form, file, message, or document. The tournament tools are not intended to collect such information.

Tournament administration. Tournament rules, eligibility, seeding, check-in requirements, match schedules, map selection, score reporting, penalties, disqualifications, and dispute handling are determined by the organizer. The organizer may make reasonable administrative decisions to preserve fairness, security, operational stability, and competitive integrity.

Fair play and conduct. Participants must act respectfully toward other players, staff, sponsors, viewers, and community members. Harassment, cheating, impersonation, account sharing where prohibited, false submissions, manipulation attempts, or abuse of the tournament tools may result in rejection, removal, disqualification, or further organizer action.

Availability and technical limitations. The tournament tools are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. The organizer does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, automatic rank verification, compatibility with every browser or device, or continued availability of third-party services.

Third-party rights. This tournament project is not endorsed by Riot Games. Riot Games, VALORANT, and related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.

Purpose of processing. Submitted tournament data is processed only for tournament administration. This includes receiving signups, verifying teams, handling rosters, creating brackets, managing check-ins, resolving disputes, contacting teams where necessary, and maintaining fair tournament operation.

Categories of data. Submitted data may include team name, team tricode, team logo, player Riot IDs, player Discord contact names, selected ranks, calculated average rank, submission ID, submission time, and optional tournament notes. The tournament tool is not designed to collect legal names, passwords, precise location data, home addresses, identity documents, payment data, or private login credentials.

Legal basis and consent. By submitting a signup or tournament file, the submitting person confirms that the data may be used for the tournament purposes listed above. Where required, teams are responsible for ensuring that players are informed about the submission of their player names, Riot IDs, Discord contact names, ranks, and related tournament information.

Encryption and access. Submissions are encrypted in the browser before being uploaded to the organizer server. Decrypted team data should only be accessed by authorized organizers for tournament administration. The private decryption key should not be uploaded to the public server or shared with unauthorized persons.

Retention period. Tournament data is deleted no later than one month after the tournament has ended, unless a longer retention period is required to handle active disputes, abuse reports, security incidents, technical investigations, legal obligations, or enforcement of tournament rules.

Data subject requests. Players and teams may request access to tournament data relating to them and may request correction or deletion where applicable. Requests should be sent to the contact address listed in the Impressum and should include enough information to identify the relevant team, tricode, Riot ID, and tournament.

Further rights. Where applicable under data protection law, individuals may also have rights to information, access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and protection against decisions based solely on automated processing. Some rights may be limited where retention is necessary for tournament fairness, security, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

Hosting and technical providers. Hosting providers and technical infrastructure may process encrypted submission files, access logs, and operational metadata as part of normal website operation. Access should be limited to authorized persons and protected using reasonable security measures for the admin panel, API, backups, and decryption key.

No sale of personal data. Tournament submission data is not sold. It is used for tournament organization and related operational purposes only.

The organizer makes reasonable efforts to keep tournament information accurate and current, but no guarantee is given that all content is complete, error-free, or continuously available.

External links may lead to third-party websites or services. The operators of those third-party websites are solely responsible for their own content, availability, privacy practices, and legal compliance.
